The Survivorship Clinic is for Concord patients who have received chemotherapy for early-stage cancer and who have no evidence of a recurrence of their cancer.
On their first visit, survivors spend an afternoon in the clinic and see five health professionals including a specialist cancer doctor, a cancer care nurse, a dietitian, an exercise physiologist and a clinical psychologist and following the review a Survivorship Care Plan is prepared.
The survivors will then either return to their original medical team or continue in the Survivorship Follow-Up Clinic for 5-years. The Survivorship Clinic celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2023 – and has seen more than 1000 new patients in this time.
